As many who live locally know, the club has been serving the Woodseats community since 1966 having originally been converted from a disused church. Many generations of young people have grown up with access to the space, where trained youth workers have supported them to enjoy the club and succeed in life.

In 2022 our team had the opportunity to apply to modernise the facilities to make sure future generations can enjoy the same quality youth services for another 50 years. Following success in this application, the club will be undergoing the following transformative renovations in 2024.

> A new second floor added to our main hall, creating a brand new space for young people and those who are looking to rent a private, spacious room for their club or group.

> A new roof installed, and solar panels added to provide sustainable power for the club. The interior will be redecorated and insulated to improve sustainability.

> A brand new multi-use games area added to the outside space on Scarsdale Road, providing a safer space for young people to play outside.

> There will also a new garden created on the Chesterfield Road front, with planters and a seating area.

When we reopen in 2025, the club will host even more frequent sessions for young people aged 8 to 18. Community rentals for classes, events, workshops and children's birthday parties during the school day or weekends will also be welcome!
